Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know — answered with kindness, clarity, and care.

  • We provide Support CoordinationPsychosocial Recovery Coaching, and access to a curated network of Independent Support Workers across Disability and Aged Care. We help you understand your NDIS plan, connect you with the right supports, and build a team around you that feels safe, consistent, and human.

  • We work exclusively with:

    • Self-managed NDIS participants

    • Plan-managed NDIS participants

We also support people living with:

    • Psychosocial disability

    • ASD and neurodivergence

    • Chronic health conditions

    • Complex trauma

    • Multidimensional support needs

If you value warmth, autonomy, choice, and trauma-informed care, you’re in the right place.

  • NDIA-managed plans limit which providers you can choose.
They restrict the flexibility, personal choice, and worker selection that we believe every participant deserves.

We work only with self-managed and plan-managed participants so you can:

    • Choose your own workers

    • Access independent support workers

    • Receive personalised, flexible support

    • Build a team that truly aligns with your needs and personality

    • It’s about control, autonomy and real human care.

  • A Support Coordinator:

    • Helps you understand and use your NDIS plan

    • Connects you with the right supports and providers

    • Ensures you’re getting the maximum benefit from your funding

    • Builds your capacity to navigate the system with confidence

    • Walks beside you when things feel overwhelming or confusing

    • Advocates for your needs

At The Kind Agency, our Support Coordinators operate through a trauma-informed, nervous system-aware lens, ensuring every step feels manageable and safe.

  • A Psychosocial Recovery Coach supports people living with mental health challenges and psychosocial disability.
    They help you:

    • Create meaningful routines

    • Work through challenges with kindness and patience

    • Connect with community and supports

  • We understand — truly.
Many of our participants come to us feeling unheard, rushed, dismissed, or overwhelmed by previous services.

    Our approach is different.
    We move slowly.
    We listen deeply.
We honour your boundaries and your history.
And we never push you into anything that doesn’t feel safe.

  • It’s simple:
